The Perfect Steak Marinade

The Perfect Steak Marinade

Who doesn’t love a great steak? Not me, that’s for sure. I could eat steak every day.  I like to experiment with different flavours and marinades but I really hit the jackpot with this one. My search for the perfect marinade is over, and just in time for summer.

Do you guys have the same obsession with being outside on the patio or the deck in the summer that I do? Maybe it’s because I live in Canada, where it’s cold for what seems like 10 months out of year (but is probably more like 8 months of the year). So I feel like I have to squeeze every possible moment out of the warm temperatures when they’re here. There will be A LOT more barbecue recipes because I cook everything on the barbecue in the summer. So get ready. We’re also building a deck starting this weekend so get ready for the step by step process for that (and wish us luck because we’ve never done this before!).

Lots of summer projects coming this way. I’m excited and you should be too. Keep posted!

  1. Whisk all the above ingredients together.
  2. Pour over steaks and cover.
  3. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  4. Cook your steak (preferably on the BBQ) to your desired level of doneness.
  5. Eat.

Please let me know if you have any barbecue recipe requests!

      1. I just love healthy food. Stuff like Maccas makes me feel ill. And since I started I feel so much better mentally. If its good for the environment, hey bonus, but I do it cos IMO its the only diet that isn’t a fad. But thats just me 🙂

      1. There’s this marinade I just love – I’ll have to get the name when I get home – it’s delicious and it’s mostly soy sauce with lime and red pepper…..
